Custom-Size Tufting and Painting Commissions for Interior Designers

A commissioned artwork should not be chosen merely to fill a leftover wall at the end of an interior project. When dimensions, viewing distance, materials and installation point are defined while the project is still developing, the artist can work within useful boundaries. Peck Art Studio accepts requests for custom-size tufted wall pieces, floor rugs and acrylic paintings on canvas through the custom order form.

The first brief from an interior designer does not need to be long. A plan or wall photograph, clear dimensions, colour references, intended use and target delivery date are enough to begin. The studio does not offer faithful oil or charcoal portraits copied from a photograph. Painting commissions are considered as acrylic work on canvas.

What belongs in the brief#

The width of the wall alone is not enough for a prompt and accurate estimate. Furniture, sockets, wall lights, skirting and door swings change the usable area around the work. A photograph marked with dimensions or a scaled elevation reduces uncertainty.

Separate these details in the brief:

  • Project type and city
  • Installation point, whether wall or floor
  • Net production dimensions and any required tolerance
  • Colour references such as RAL, Pantone, paint code or a material sample
  • Wall surface, hanging method and any weight limit
  • Target day, site delivery window and named contact
  • Intensity of use, cleaning expectations and contact with children or pets

A render communicates proportion, not production dimensions. Supply the final site measurement before approval.

Separate a tufted wall piece from a floor rug#

Wall and floor work may share the tufting technique, but they need different briefs. A wall piece prioritises composition, hanging direction, outline and viewing distance. A floor rug introduces foot traffic, slipping, furniture legs, clearance under doors and the finish at its edges.

The live calculator currently provides preliminary estimates at TRY 9,000 per square metre for a tufted wall piece and TRY 11,000 per square metre for a floor rug. The minimum order value is TRY 3,500. Listed options for a floor rug include a fringed edge at TRY 1,500 and non-slip backing at TRY 750. Premium or metallic yarn is a TRY 1,200 option for wall and floor work. These figures were live on 8 September 2026. The final price is confirmed after the design and dimensions have been reviewed.

Pantone or RAL codes provide direction, while yarn is chosen from the nearest available tone. Compare critical brand colours with a physical sample.

Fine lines and small type create another limit. Detail below about 10 mm may not remain clear in tufting, and letter strokes from 1.5 to 2 cm are safer. For a logo piece, supply a vector file and an alternative lock-up that permits simplification. The guide to logo tufting for workplaces, cafés and offices explains these production decisions in more detail.

Decisions for a custom-size acrylic painting#

The live starting calculation for an acrylic painting on canvas is TRY 15,000 per square metre. A wooden frame is listed as a TRY 2,000 option for paintings and tufted wall pieces. The calculator provides an initial estimate; no final quote exists until the composition and reference have been reviewed.

A paint code alone is not a sufficient painting brief. Define the orientation, figurative or abstract direction and required negative space. References can identify a palette or rhythm without asking for a copy.

The painting collection includes the 60x70 cm Matching Socks, 60x80 cm Tını and 100x80 cm Gebe(r). Their current availability and prices appear on their pages. A commission does not promise a copy of a unique work.

Test scale on the wall, not only in the render#

Viewing distance matters as much as width. A detailed work 150 cm across may never be seen as a whole in a narrow corridor. A 60 cm piece can disappear among furniture and signage on a broad lobby wall.

Mark the final dimensions with paper tape. For a floor rug, use kraft paper or a sheet to check chair movement and door clearance.

Baby Tiger measures 60x90 cm and Blue Nude II measures 95x110 cm. Their proportions and live availability can be reviewed in the tufted collection.

Put the estimate and approval process into the project programme#

Peck Art Studio's live custom-order settings show an estimated making time of 21 days and a 30 percent deposit at the start of production. Do not treat that period as if it included completion of the brief, estimate review, design approval and site delivery arrangements. State the target date in the form and do not promise it to a client until its fit with the production schedule has been confirmed.

A practical sequence is:

  • Send the brief and reference files
  • Review dimensions, technique and intended use
  • Confirm the preliminary estimate, design scope and delivery target
  • Approve the design and colour direction in writing
  • Begin production after the 30 percent deposit
  • Handle the remaining payment, packing and delivery through the order record

Do not assume a standard allowance for revisions, sample dispatch, installation, work outside the city or multiple units. These are not advertised as fixed services on the site. Ask explicitly when the project requires one and programme the work from the written response. A business discount or continuous production capacity should not enter a proposal unless it has been confirmed.

Delivery, site acceptance and care#

For site delivery, settle working hours, the loading point and a contact number. Lift dimensions, stair turns and doors may affect large pieces. The live custom-order range accepts dimensions from 20 cm to 200 cm.

Inspect the package while the courier is present. If it is crushed, torn, open or wet, have a damage report prepared. Photograph concealed damage, keep the packaging and report it within 3 days of delivery. Binding provisions appear in the delivery and returns terms.

Work made to custom dimensions, colours or a logo may fall under the exception to the right of withdrawal. Rights remain where there is a defect, transit damage or a material difference from the approved order. Read the distance sales agreement before purchase and retain the client's approval in writing.

The intended use sets the care plan for a tufted surface. A floor rug and wall piece should not receive the same cleaning treatment. Adding the tufting care guide to the project handover also tells the end user what to avoid.

Make the first request ready for a decision#

Add the project name, installation point, dimensions in centimetres, target date and colour reference to the order form. Rather than attaching an entire set of drawings without direction, mark the sheets that concern production.

After comparing ready examples in the tufted and painting collections, you can create a custom order request with the technique, dimensions and reference files. A complete brief removes uncertain promises and moves the first conversation directly into production decisions.

Frequently Asked Questions

What should the first interior project brief contain?

Send a plan or measured wall photograph, net production dimensions, installation point, colour reference, intended use and target delivery date. Show obstacles such as sockets, wall lights and door swings.

What is the current preliminary price for custom tufting?

As of 8 September 2026, the live calculator uses TRY 9,000 per square metre for wall pieces and TRY 11,000 for floor rugs. The minimum order is TRY 3,500 and the final price follows review of the design and dimensions.

Will a RAL or Pantone colour match tufted yarn exactly?

The code provides direction, but yarn is not printed like ink, so the nearest available tone on the yarn card is selected. Critical colours should be compared with a physical material sample.

Is there a standard designer discount or installation service?

The site does not advertise a fixed business discount, installation service or multiple-unit scope. Ask explicitly where a project needs one and include only the scope confirmed in writing.

What are the making time and deposit for a commission?

The live settings show an estimated 21-day making time and a 30 percent deposit when production begins. Allow additional time for the brief, design approval and delivery planning, and confirm the target date with the studio.
