The Story
Threshold is an acrylic painting exploring a profound human tragedy in which innocence stands at the edge of indescribable pain and loss. On one side of the window lies devastation and the body of a child, while the other reveals terrified gazes and a fragile flower symbolizing hope. The frosted glass and the memory map spreading across the floor represent the weight of reality, the traces of loss, and the accumulated pain within human memory. Through layered acrylic textures, the work brings together themes of war, innocence, fear, and hope, expressing a deeply emotional confrontation with human suffering that words alone cannot convey.
