The Story

This soft sculpture explores the potential of tufting as a technique that extends beyond the textile surface into a three-dimensional form. Throughout history, the snake has been associated with meanings such as fear, transformation, and rebirth. In this work, however, its familiar hard and threatening appearance is reimagined as a soft, tactile, and inviting object. The piece invites viewers to reconsider the relationship between prejudice and first impressions.
